About the role
The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) supports surgical teams in the operating room by providing technical assistance such as exposure and hemostasis, following the surgeon’s directives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preoperative assessments
- Prepare sterilized instruments and equipment
- Deliver postoperative care to monitor for complications, manage pain, and apply dressings
Requirements
- Valid RN license
- Completion of an accredited RNFA program with clinical training
- At least 2 years of OR experience in surgical scrub or circulating roles
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Certification as a CRNFA
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Pay
