Registered Nurse First Assistant

About the role

Provides advanced perioperative support as a First Assistant during surgical procedures in the operating room. Collaborates closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to deliver safe, effective patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities

• Performs intraoperative assistance, preoperative assessments, and develops individualized care plans.
• Monitors patient responses, administers medications, and adjusts care as needed.
• Contributes to team efficiency, evaluates care quality, and participates in professional development.
• Advocates for patient safety and incorporates research into practice.

Requirements

• RN licensure with 2-5 years of experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, CNOR certification, and Certified First Assistant credentials.
• No supervisor experience required.
