About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) to join a plastic surgery operating room team.
Responsibilities
- Support OR readiness with sterile techniques, patient positioning, and safety measures.
- Provide first-assist support such as tissue handling, retraction, hemostasis, suturing, and wound closure.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and respond to intraoperative concerns.
- Document surgical details, verify counts, and assist with room turnover.
- Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and participate in team initiatives.
Requirements
- Active South Carolina RN license and RNFA certification or training.
- 1-3+ years perioperative OR experience with demonstrated first-assist skills.
- Advanced suturing skills and knowledge of outpatient surgery environments.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
