Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Serve as a professional leader and support to the healthcare team, adhering to Patient Centered Care principles.
  • Oversee and guide employees under your supervision.
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course or equivalent; BSN preferred.
  • One year of acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course.
  • Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Current ACLS Certification (for adult patients), PALS Certification (for pediatric patients), or NRP Certification (for neonatal patients), as required by department.
  • Other certifications as required by the facility, specialty, or department.
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

An RN graduate (a nurse who has completed a course of study and is eligible for the NCLEX) may perform under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee. An interim RN license must be granted by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
