About the role
Every day, our Registered Nurses deliver a level of excellence and compassionate care to our patients in the ER.
Responsibilities
- Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
- Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
- Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family and significant others
- Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment
- Maintains and monitors patient vitals and updates care team on patient assessments
- Responds to medical emergencies for critical patients
- Identifies sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
- Displays high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
- Demonstrates professional accountability and development
Requirements
- RN (Registered Nurse) License
- Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
- 1 year registered nurse ER experience
- BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
- PALS certification with the American Heart Association
