Registered Nurse, Epilepsy

Key Responsibilities

• Triaging and managing patient messaging and communication via phone and patient portal
• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and modifying plans of care for a specific patient assignment throughout the healthcare continuum
• Providing exemplary patient care and working closely with physician partners and members of the interdisciplinary Epilepsy team
• Contacting patients for changes in clinical management
• Providing ongoing care coordination between clinic visits by communicating with families, healthcare team members and other agencies involved
• Educating patients and families regarding disease management and medications
• Aiding in the completion of prescriptions, school forms, medication and DME insurance authorizations, and other community networking resources and referrals

Education

• Minimum qualifications: BSN degree
• Experience: At least two years of Pediatric RN experience in either inpatient or ambulatory setting required
• Neurology and/or epilepsy experience preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• MA RN license

Pay

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
