About the role
As a Registered Nurse on the Emergency Department team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. Our Emergency Department is a rural twenty-bed unit focused on providing patient-centered care in a friendly environment. We offer self-scheduling to support work/life balance.
Responsibilities
- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
- Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
Requirements
- Current North Carolina state or compact state RN license
- Basic Life Support certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS certification (required within 90 days of hire)
- Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of RN, Emergency Services experience (required for PRN)

Schedule
PRN – must be available for varied shift times (days and nights). A minimum of 2 shifts in a 6-week period is required to maintain PRN status.
