Registered Nurse - Emergency Services

Role: The Emergency Services Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in the Emergency Department, coordinating patient care, assessments, and treatments for diverse age groups, including neonatal to geriatric patients. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments, monitor hemodynamic status, interpret cardiac rhythms, and manage dysrhythmias.Assign triage categories accurately and document patient histories, conditions, and responses.Deliver age-appropriate care, respecting psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs, involving families in care planning and education.Assist physicians with procedures, manage IV therapies, and respond promptly to workload changes.Supervise unit staff, orient new team members, and support performance improvement initiatives.Maintain safety standards, environmental protocols, and cost-effective resource use.Participate in ongoing education, professional growth, and compliance with certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.Preferred: 1 year of critical care experience and certifications like CEN, ENPC, or TNCC.Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS within specified timeframes.Knowledge of CDC and CMS standards, excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.Ability to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive patient care and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
