About the role
Flight Nurse responsible for safely transporting patients via air, providing critical care, and supporting scene call work.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans in critical situations.
- Manage critically ill or injured adult and pediatric patients, supporting physicians' orders.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-equipped aircraft environment, ensuring safety standards and equipment checks.
- Collaborate effectively with air and ground teams, dispatch, and partners through professional communication.
- Accurately document shift change information and adhere to protocols for regulatory compliance.
- Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for flight readiness.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as a licensed RN.
- Current RN license in the relevant states.
- EMT and Trauma Certifications as required by the state.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications prior to flight status.
- Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) within 24 months of hire.
Preferred Skills
- Previous flight experience.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
