About the role
The position involves providing emergency care at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, a Level I trauma center recognized for its comprehensive emergency services and Magnet designation for nursing excellence.
Responsibilities
- Triage patients based on severity of their conditions
- Rapidly assess patients to determine appropriate treatment
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and patients
- Ensure accurate documentation in Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)
- Manage high-acuity cases in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Current RN licensure
- Recent experience in emergency nursing
- Experience in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma center
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Licenses: RN(Compact Accepted)
- Certifications: ACLS-AHA; PALS-AHA; CERT-TNCC
- SSN required
- DOB required
- No more than 90 days of gap in last 1 year work history
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Experience in high-acuity ER settings
