About the role
Delivers direct, quality patient care in an Emergency Room setting at ECU Medical Center, a Level-1 Trauma Center.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with legal, hospital practice, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Utilizes a basic clinical skill level and knowledge base to provide proficient, age-specific, professional nursing skills.
- Works within the scope of practice and established standards of nursing care and practice as defined by the state of North Carolina.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- 2 years of ER experience
- RN license (compact accepted)
- American Heart Association certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Preferred: EPIC Travel, Strong Level I Trauma, TNCC
Qualifications
80 mile radius rule, CPI Blue certification (can be obtained on site).
Skills
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential.
