Registered Nurse - Emergency Room - Per Diem

Role Overview

Seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care in emergency departments across multiple locations. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, supervising unlicensed assistive personnel, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role involves night shifts with weekend and holiday requirements, offering flexible hours based on patient care needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current Illinois RN license
• Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program, BSN preferred
• Active BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; NIHSS certification must be maintained
• Minimum two years recent acute care ER experience, with telemetry competence
• Emergency Department experience is preferred

Key Duties

• Provide direct patient care independently on a designated unit
• Guide and oversee unlicensed personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members
• Contribute to safety and high-quality patient experiences
