Employment Type: Per Diem, part-time with rotating shifts including weekdays and weekends (12-hour shifts) at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of patient care. The professional nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for delegating patient care to other members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Provides total, comprehensive care to patients by applying the nursing process in an organized and systematic manner according to hospital policy.
  • Communicates proactively to the healthcare team regarding the plan of care, changes in patient condition, patient progress, the discharge plan, and other relevant information.
  • Documents assessment/reassessment, plan, interventions, and outcomes according to policy and interprets/utilizes clinical data in the plan of care, including:
    • Pain assessment and plan of care.
    • Fall risk and plan of care.
    • Wound risk and plan of care.
  • Assesses patient for potential risk factors.
  • Performs accurate and thorough nursing physical assessments.
  • Participates in discharge planning using a multi-disciplinary approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Current RN Pennsylvania state license required.
  • Current BLS certification required or obtained by completion of orientation.
  • ACLS certification required or obtained by completion of orientation if applicable to area of practice.
  • Previous ER experience required.
