About the Role
Texas Health Huguley is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in extending the healing ministry of Christ. This role involves conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and coordinating multidisciplinary care in a full-time night shift position (7:00pm - 7:00am).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional health
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient needs
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care by facilitating collaboration among healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists
- Monitor patient progress, regularly review, and adjust care plans based on patient responses and outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure everyone is informed and involved in the care process
- Document patient information accurately, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes in the patient's medical record
Qualifications
- Associate's of Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor's of Nursing (Preferred)
- 1+ year 12 lead EKG experience (Required)
- 1+ year acute hospital experience (Preferred)
Skills
- Skills required to work in the emergency department as defined by unit
- Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise the plan of care according to patient outcomes
- Basic computer skills - must be able to navigate Microsoft Windows-based programs
- Demonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing, knowledge, and skills
- Able to navigate and manage multiple priorities
- Uses independent discretion/decision-making
- Able to make decisions under pressure

- Manages stress appropriately
- Works alone effectively
- Able to work effectively in close proximity to others and/or in a distracting environment

- Internship and/or preceptorship dependent upon nursing experience
- Unit-specific competencies met per orientation pathway
- The majority of employees will require a minimum of 12 months after orientation completed to achieve proficiency
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) (Required)
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)
- Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) (Required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) (Required)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

- Pay Range: $33.61 - $62.53
