Registered Nurse - Emergency - Full Time - Evenings

Responsibilities

• Critical Thinking: Demonstrates sensitivity and understanding of patient's rights, transcribes/countersigns physician orders, implements orders, and documents patient-related information accurately and completely.
• Execution of Treatment Regimens: Administers, delegates, and evaluates nursing activities, ensuring safe and accurate administration of medications and intravenous procedures.
• Patient Care: Accurately assesses and plans care for patients, identifies and sets goals for patient problems, and modifies care plans based on outcomes.
• Communication: Communicates pertinent information regarding patient care appropriately, including shift reports, unit-to-unit transfers, and family teaching.
• Schedule: Works (3) 12-hour shifts 11:00 am - 11:00 pm with every third weekend rotation.

Requirements

• Education: Formal training program after high school required; Graduate from an accredited Diploma School of Nursing/College of Nursing with an ASN or BSN required.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license, valid compact multistate license, or temporary permit; American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC certifications required.
• Experience: One to two years nursing experience preferred; Emergency or Acute care nursing experience preferred.

• Physical Requirements: Medium work, occasionally performing tasks like carrying, lifting, and reaching; frequently performing tasks like sitting, standing, and walking; constantly performing tasks like grasping, hearing, seeing, speaking, and typing.
• Environmental Hazards: Occasional exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature, and noise; occasional exposure to physical hazards, chemical agents, biological agents, and mechanical moving parts/vibrations.
