About the role

The ED at Arnett Hospital contains 32 beds and nurses are trained to treat patients across all life spans with multiple diagnoses. Nursing skills gained on this unit include critical care assessment skills, trauma training, triage training, bedside procedures, STEMI care, stroke care, and sepsis care. The unit is designated as a Level 3 trauma center and Primary Stroke Center.

Responsibilities

  • Treatment of patients across all life spans with multiple diagnoses
  • Performing critical care assessment skills
  • Participating in trauma and triage training
  • Conducting bedside procedures
  • Providing STEMI and stroke care
  • Managing sepsis cases
  • Collaborating with medical professionals to deliver high-level patient care

Qualifications

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN) degree; BSN preferred
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
