About the Role

West Henderson Hospital is the seventh acute care hospital in The Valley Health System, located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway near the Las Vegas Raiders' headquarters. This 150-bed facility provides care for patients with a variety of medical needs, including:

  • Emergency care, 24/7
  • Advanced cardiac services, including cardiac catheterization labs
  • Interventional radiology lab for diagnosis and treatment
  • Neurology care
  • Surgical procedures (general surgery, orthopedics, and weight loss)
  • Gastroenterology/endoscopy procedures
  • Advanced imaging
  • Laboratory services
  • Respiratory services
  • Inpatient nursing

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Demonstrate professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
  • Apply Patient Centered Care principles as the foundation for all nursing care.
  • Oversee and guide employees under your supervision.
  • Uphold Service Excellence standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; completion of a Specialty course or equivalent within 6 months of hire (BSN preferred).
  • One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
  • Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), PALS Certification (pediatric patients), or NRP Certification (Neonatal patients), as required by department.
  • Other certifications as required by facility, specialty, or department.
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

An RN graduate (eligible for NCLEX) may perform under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee and must obtain an interim RN license from the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
