About the Role

Responsible for providing care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other standards established by professional groups and regulating bodies. Nursing care is delivered in alignment with ECU Health and entity-specific nursing policies, procedures, and professional standards of care and practice.

Responsibilities include the provision and coordination of nursing care, collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes, and development of a care plan in collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team members. The role involves identifying interventions, implementing the care plan, evaluating patient progress, and documenting the process, with sensitivity to age-specific and unique patient/family needs.

Promotes and evaluates the effective functioning of the healthcare team, collaborates with team members to meet patient/family needs throughout the episode of care, and delegates tasks as appropriate under the NC Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

  • Current North Carolina Registered Nurse license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an acute patient care setting.

Pay

$33.00 - $51.98 per hour.

Schedule

0.03 FTE (approximately 12-hour shifts per week), as needed.
