Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - PRN

About the role

This position involves providing highly professional nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). The nurse supports the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic goals while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to promote understanding
• Educate patients and families as part of the care process
• Participate in team building and uphold hospital standards to foster a cooperative work environment
• Take responsibility for personal performance, professional growth, and adherence to policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Valid nursing license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one
• Minimum of six months RN experience
