Responsibilities
- Moves beyond basic nursing care to provide routine and complex care.
- Demonstrates ability to consider long-range goals or plans.
- Manages contingencies of clinical nursing situations.
- Assigns tasks and delegates responsibilities to other care providers.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
- One year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- BLS required
- RN License in state of employment or compact
Skills
- Uses the nursing process to provide care.
- Administers medications and treatments, monitors side effects and effectiveness.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.
Job Requirements
- Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Experience: One year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: BLS required, ACLS and PALS required
