About the role
We are hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Dunn Avenue (ED North) in Jacksonville, FL. This is a part-time night shift opportunity, scheduled 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, two shifts per week. This emergency department provides high-quality care to a growing community in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is ideal for nurses committed to clinical excellence and patient advocacy.
Eligible for up to $3,750 sign-on bonus if hired externally.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based care to emergency patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Coordinate care with ancillary services
- Serve as a patient advocate
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Provide for patient needs using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement
- Organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
- Include patients and significant others/families in developing an individualized plan of care
- Educate patients, significant others, and families on disease processes and plans of care
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
Requirements
- 1–2 years of Medical Surgical Nursing experience (required)
- Telemetry experience (required)
- Emergency Department experience (preferred)
- Hospital experience (required)
Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
- Certifications such as CEN, TNCC, or NIHSS (preferred)
