Registered Nurse - Emergency Department, Part Time

About the role

This Emergency Department Registered Nurse role requires 2 years of ED experience and a current RN license within the practice state. As a dual clinical and managerial position, the nurse provides direct patient care across all age groups while also participating in staff hiring and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care across all age groups
• Performing head-to-toe assessments and reassessments
• Managing pain and educating patients and families
• Using triage to prioritize timely care and accurately categorize patients
• Communicating effectively with physicians, staff, and patients regarding clinical status
• Participating in staff hiring and supporting team collaboration

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the practice state
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• Current BCLS certification
• ACLS and PALS certifications to be obtained within six months of hire
• Optional certifications such as ENPC and TNCC are advantageous
