About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. They perform the nursing process, utilizing evidence-based practices, critical thinking, and cultural awareness to deliver individualized care. The RN collaborates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring clear communication and adherence to clinical standards.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using current clinical standards.
- Partner with patients and significant others through bedside reports, education, and goal-focused care.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care promoting teamwork and inclusivity.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and evidence-based practices.
- Mentor and serve as a resource for colleagues, fostering a healthy work environment.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Nursing degree.
- Valid RN license and required certifications (BLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS) upon hire.
- Minimum of 5 years RN experience.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to operate clinical technology and respond effectively to emergencies.
