About the Role

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at Silverleaf, a new free-standing Emergency Department opening Fall 2026. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Days shift with a commitment of 36 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are 7:00AM–7:00PM. Baptist Emergency at Silverleaf will expand access to high-quality emergency care for residents of St. Johns County and surrounding areas. Designed with efficiency and patient experience in mind, this modern facility will provide comprehensive emergency services in a convenient, community-focused setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
• Educate patients and families on their disease process and plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
• Serve as a patient advocate
• Participate in staff meetings and unit-based initiatives
• Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel
• Include patients and significant others/families in developing an individualized plan of care

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• 1–2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience required
• Emergency Department Experience preferred
• Hospital Experience preferred
• Telemetry Experience preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) preferred
• Conscious Sedation Certification preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
• Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) preferred
• Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care
