About the role

We are hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baptist Emergency at St. Augustine in St. Augustine, FL. This is a full-time day shift opportunity in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on high-quality, patient-centered emergency care. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse passionate about emergency medicine, teamwork, and delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients with emergent conditions.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate care with ancillary services to support optimal outcomes.
• Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety and satisfaction.
• Participate in unit-based initiatives and continuous quality improvement.
• Include patients and significant others/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Educate patients, significant others, and families about disease processes and care plans.
• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of Medical Surgical Nursing experience (required).
• Telemetry experience (required).
• Emergency Department experience (preferred).
• Hospital experience (required).
• Diploma nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), TNCC, or NIHSS certification (preferred).

Pay

Eligible for up to a $2,500 sign-on bonus if hired externally.
