Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3 x 12-hour shifts, 7 pm - 7 am
About the Department
- 100-bed Marion Emergency Care, 75,000 square foot Level I Trauma center
- Quick Care area for minor care needs designed to expedite care and patient experience
- Diagnostic rooms for patients requiring more extensive workups
- 22 Emergent Care rooms, including three resuscitation rooms for the most severe trauma cases

Requirements
- Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- CLIA FE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
- BCLS certification prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
- PALS certification within 90 days of hire
- TNCC or ATCN certification within 12 months of hire
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
- 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
- Current ED or ICU experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process:
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers
- Delivery of high-quality patient care through nursing education, nursing research, and innovations in nursing practice
