Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Description
Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time shift on a 12-hour day schedule. The position involves working every third weekend and every other holiday.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care
- Delegates patient care to other members of the healthcare team
- Communicates proactively to the health care team, updates the plan of care, and documents patient progress, discharge plans, and other relevant information
- Documents pain assessment and plan of care
- Documents fall risk and plan of care
- Documents wound risk and plan of care
- Interprets and utilizes clinical data in the plan of care
- Assesses patient for potential risk factors
- Performs accurate and thorough nursing physical assessment
- Participates in discharge planning through a multi-disciplinary approach
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Bachelor of Science/Associate Degree in Nursing (BS/ADN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) Pennsylvania state license
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if applicable to area of practice
- Professional certifications preferred
- Prior clinical experience preferred
Qualifications
- Education: BSN or BS/BA degree in Nursing
