Registered Nurse, Emergency Department

Job Description Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team and make a difference for our patients and our community.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients in acuity-based care pods within a 50,000 square foot facility with 55 treatment rooms.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with over 90,000 ED visits per year.
• Provide patient family-centered care with an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient’s bedside.
• Manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice.
• Participate in award-winning programs that give patients and their families a place of comfort and healing.

Requirements

• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
• One year of recent ED / ER, Critical Care, or ICU RN experience is required.
• Completion of an accredited associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program in Nursing.
• BLS for healthcare providers and ACLS certifications are required through AHA.
• NIHSS certification is required by time of hire.
• TNCC certification is required by time of hire.
• Ability to obtain PALS or ENPC certifications by time of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program in Nursing.

Skills

• Experience in ED / ER, Critical Care, or ICU settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices.
