About the role
Provides professional and nonprofessional nursing care in accordance with physician orders within a complex care setting.
Responsibilities
- Conducts assessments, develops, implements, and revises individualized care plans
- Delegates tasks appropriately and manages patient care
- Educates patients and families
- Supports discharge planning
- Participates in performance improvement and departmental committees
- Mentors new staff and promotes professional development
- Ensures high-quality patient care and utilizes evidence-based practices
- Manages patient safety and collaborates with healthcare teams
Requirements
- Valid nursing license
- Current BLS certification
- At least 1 year of RN experience
- Effective communication skills and nursing process knowledge
- Physical ability to perform patient care tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree
- Critical care experience
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Stand/walk for extended periods
- Handle exposure to infectious agents
