Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Role Overview: The registered nurse (RN) provides direct patient care, education, and care transitions within a comprehensive nursing practice model. All new graduates and nurses new to the organization are enrolled in an extensive orientation and Nurse Residency Program without additional application requirements. Key Responsibilities Coordinate nursing care, ensuring quality and safety across care settingsSupport professional nursing standards and practicesLead through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement initiativesDelegate patient care appropriately based on skill, acuity, and resourcesCommunicate effectively and mentor colleagues, participating in committees or projects Qualifications Graduate or student of a registered nursing programRN licensure with current state licenseBLS certification from AHA or Red CrossPreferred: 1 year hospital RN experience, emergency department experienceMust provide evidence of baccalaureate degree within five years if applicable Additional Details: Role is eligible for TN sponsorship, requiring licensure and certification completion. Compensation varies based on union contract, with part-time scheduling, 12-hour night shifts, holiday rotation, and every third weekend.
