Responsibilities

• Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
• Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Job Requirements

• Education Requirements: Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement. Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred; Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.
• Experience Requirements: RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
• Physical Requirements: Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly).

Where You'll Work

Holy Cross Hospital Davis runs two Emergency Departments. The main department is 21-beds in Layton City as part of the hospital. It is a Level 3 Trauma center, a Primary Stroke center, and a Chest Pain center with an average volume of over 2000 patients per month. The other is a stand-alone Emergency Department in Roy City that has 14 beds and sees an average volume of over 28 patients each day. Team members in these departments are courageous, motivated and have a keen interest in emergency medicine. With a variety of patients, this team treats anything and everything, from traumas, heart attacks, septic and psychiatric patients to sore throats, earaches, lacerations, and ingrown toenails. The ED is a fast paced and intense environment that fosters a culture of teamwork and comradery. Prioritizing, multi-tasking, critical thinking, and assisting others are extremely important. This department is a great place to learn and become proficient in multiple nursing skills. Training is intense and never-ending. A strong knowledge of all disease and injury physiology and processes is extremely important. You will work alongside board certified emergency physicians and highly skilled PAs and NPs. Pay Range

$32.01 - $48.43 /hour
