About the role
The Salem Hospital Emergency Team is an integral part of the nursing division. This Team is interprofessional, representing expert nurses, physicians, mid-levels, and support personnel, providing compassionate and personalized care to every patient who comes through our doors.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the nursing process and the delivery of patient and family-centered care.
- Request and use governing and administrative resources, technological and support systems, and multidisciplinary clinical experts necessary to manage and deliver quality, cost-effective patient care.
- Provide both adult and pediatric emergency care, including Level III trauma center, highest-ranked Stroke Center, and advanced care for sexual assault patients.
- Participate in a patient care model designed to provide high-quality, efficient care and reduce unnecessary wait times with the addition of dedicated Radiology space within the ED.
- Offer an open-door policy and transparent conversations with the front-line staff, who provide valuable feedback for workflow improvements.
- Support a dedicated Nurse Educator to assist with a comprehensive orientation program and individual programs tailored to meet your needs, including ongoing education to provide the most up-to-date evidence-based practice.
Requirements
- 2 years Acute Care RN experience preferred.
- ED experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Valid/Current license to practice as a RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- BLS required.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- ACLS preferred.
- 24-hour shift, 7p-7:30a with every other weekend and every other holiday.
