About the role
Join our team of Registered Nurses at Advocate South Suburban Hospital. This role is part-time and offers competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Assist in evacuation of patients in emergency situations
- Handle potentially infectious specimens and patients
- Lift up to 35 pounds without assistance, and use patient handling equipment for heavier lifts
- Respond to patients in a timely manner and navigate all areas of the unit
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current IL RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable with agreement to enroll in BSN completion program if less than 12 months of experience
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts
- Certain positions may require taking call
- Work environment includes exposure to adverse, hazardous, or unpleasant conditions
Qualifications
- Completion of BSN required within four years for nurses with less than 12 months of experience
- Obtain BSN or AAH recognized nursing certification within one year of hire or eligibility for certification

Pay
$38.20 – $57.30 per hour based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.
Schedule
Must complete 36 hours in a 6-week period.
