Registered Nurse, Dual Role (Pre/Post & OR) - Ambulatory Surgery Center

About the role

Park Nicollet is seeking an RN to work in both PeriOperative and PeriAnesthesia departments at our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) team. This role involves working in Same Day Surgery Centers with occasional travel to other centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ambulatory settings
• Coordinate and supervise patient care provided by assistive personnel
• Utilize a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation
• Work in both PeriOperative and PeriAnesthesia departments
• Previous experience preferred in the designated area

Requirements

• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
• ACLS Certification required (or willing to obtain within 3 months)
• Operating Room experience required
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles

Qualifications

• Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
• AORN Certification preferred (CNOR) and/or AORN knowledge base
• Scrub experience preferred
• Pre/Post/PACU, Inpatient, ER, or ICU experience desired

Schedule

Variable shifts lengths, variable/flexible start times, rotating assigned late shifts, weekends and on-call rotation possible in the future. Float to other surgery center locations as needed.
