Registered Nurse (Dialysis)

About the role

The Dialysis RN located at the Kansas City VA Medical Center is a professional nurse who provides specialized care for patients experiencing acute renal failure, chronic kidney disease, and end-stage renal disease. This role requires clinical expertise in both acute and chronic hemodialysis and a preference for experience in peritoneal dialysis (PD). The nurse will participate in both scheduled and emergent dialysis care, including call coverage for emergent hemodialysis and PD services.

Responsibilities

• Functions as primary nurse for End-Stage renal disease (ESRD) patient panel and serves as key resource assisting patients navigate the healthcare system
