Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to dialysis patients in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and facility policies.
- Supervise and monitor dialysis treatments to ensure patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes.
- Assess patient condition before, during, and after dialysis treatments, responding promptly to changes in status.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and applicable regulations.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide timely interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, dialysis technicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with all infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- Previous dialysis experience preferred.
- Current BLS Certification (CPR) required.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of dialysis procedures, patient safety practices, and applicable healthcare regulations.
