About the role

This Registered Nurse position is responsible to perform inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization, and medical detoxification for individuals with substance use and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnosis, for ongoing community-based treatment and recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Develops nursing care plans based on diagnosis, identified patient problems, and independently carries out the nursing process.
  • Maintains patient records and reports.
  • Makes rounds to monitor physical status, vital signs, and nurse triage assessments.
  • Maintains a safe and orderly environment.
  • Administers medication and collaborates with the Treatment Team to access patient needs and responses to treatment.
  • Provides direct patient care such as monitoring physical status, vital signs, nurse triage assessments and monitoring patients for physical and psychological changes.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Participates in staff meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience in substance use disorder treatment setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medications and the physiological effects of those medications.
  • Ability to communicate information in a concise and descriptive manner, verbally, written, or by demonstration.
  • Ability to appropriately respond to emergency situations.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience in substance use disorder treatment setting preferred.

Pay

Recruitment Range: $61,177.00 - $91,767.00

A Sign-on bonus of $10,000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.

Schedule

Shift Premiums For 12-Hour Shifts Day (6:45am - 7:15pm)
