About the role
Seeking a Critical Response Nurse to join the acute care team, specializing in preventing clinical deterioration outside of ICU settings.
Responsibilities
- Providing first support to bedside nurses during patient crises and guiding early interventions.
- Educating staff on managing unstable patients and facilitating rapid escalation and transfer to higher care levels.
- Monitoring post-ICU transfers and utilizing data to identify at-risk patients.
- Participating in debriefs, process improvements, and applying evidence-based practices tailored to patient needs.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of rapid response and code episodes.
Qualifications
- Registered nurse with at least two years in critical, emergency, or progressive care.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
- Current BLS, ALS or PALS, and RN licensure (state-specific or compact).
- Strong assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform essential duties, including mobility and monitoring.
Additional information
- Work involves night shifts with weekend rotations.
- Prior ICU experience preferred.
