Registered Nurse - Corrections
About the role
A Registered Nurse (RN) is needed in a Corrections setting. The position offers local or travel contract opportunities, with shifts available as either Day or Night, 40 hours per week (5x8). The nurse will float between hospital and jail units, caring for inmates.
Responsibilities
- Care for inmates in hospital and jail units
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established protocols
- Assess and document patient needs and progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in the past 3 years in Corrections or Hospital Acute Care settings (ICU/ED/MS etc.)
- Updated resume
- Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA or Red Cross)
- Current drivers license (DL)
- Active Montana or Compact RN license
