About the role
Interim HealthCare of Sioux Falls is seeking caring, compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to staff Correctional Health at the County Jail in Pierre, South Dakota. Multiple full-time positions are available.
Schedule
- Full-time position
- 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Days with weekend rotation
- Block scheduling available (3–4 shifts in a row)
- Paid training including facility safety protocols
Pay
$50 per hour, weekly pay, plus mileage; opportunity for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as assigned and in accordance with the patient’s personalized care plan
- Prepare and administer medications according to healthcare provider instructions and within the facility’s scope
- Make independent decisions, follow instructions, and interact with inmates and staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Promote a safe environment during care
- Ensure reliable care by being punctual and consistently covering shifts
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN license in South Dakota
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
- Pass background check
- Ability to lift, turn, position, and transfer up to 50 lbs
