Registered Nurse - Correctional - $1,710 per week

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Corrections contract at a state prison in Goochland, Virginia. The assignment starts on 09/29/2026, runs for 13 weeks, and is a full‑time travel position (36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts). Candidates may be local or traveler‑friendly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver acute and chronic care services within the scope of a Registered Nurse in a correctional setting.
• Manage medication administration, triage, and emergency response procedures in alignment with correctional healthcare standards.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to accurately document patient care, treatment plans, and follow‑up in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a secure, structured environment, providing care that truly matters.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and inmates while ensuring quality patient care.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• 1–3 years of experience in a correctional setting (qualified applicants must have this experience).
• Valid Registered Nurse license; willingness to obtain Virginia licensure if not already held.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $1,736.48 – $1,823.30 (based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week, subject to confirmation). A tax‑free stipend amount will be determined.

Schedule

• Nights, 12‑hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Holidays as needed
