Registered Nurse, Comprehensive Addition Program, 36 hours/week, day/evening, 12 hours shifts)

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care that supports the total person and promotes adaptation of the individual. This is accomplished through counseling, teaching, direct care, and collaboration/consultation with other healthcare professionals.

Essential Responsibilities / Duties

• Assessing and reassessing patients and families.
• Planning the process of nursing care.
• Implementing and/or directing delivery of nursing care.
• Promoting nursing care within professional, legal, and ethical standards.
• Providing patient teaching to patients and/or families.
• Orienting all levels of Nursing division personnel, and nursing students.
• Participating in unit-based educational programs.
• Demonstrating effective leadership skills.
• Supporting and collaborating in the Medical Center Performance Improvement plan through unit quality improvement/quality control activities.
• Utilizing current research in area of clinical practice.
• Complying with patient safety goals as set forth by the Medical Center.
• Participating in professional activities.
• Performing other related duties as directed by Patient Care Director.

Required Education And Experience

• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred).
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• 2 years Medical surgical RN experience required.
• Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Required:
  • Current licensure in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS Required.

Preferred Education And Experience

• 2-5 years Addiction Medicine experience preferred.

Compensation Range

$39.80- $93.69
