Position Summary

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care that supports the total person and promotes patient adaptation. This involves counseling, teaching, direct care, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse meets patient needs according to the Nursing Division's philosophy, policies, and procedures. This role requires accountability for nursing care provided and the maintenance of confidential patient information.

Essential Responsibilities / Duties

  • Assesses and reassesses patients and families.
  • Plans the process of nursing care.
  • Implements and/or directs delivery of nursing care.
  • Promotes nursing care within professional, legal, and ethical standards.
  • Provides patient teaching to patients and/or families.
  • Orients all levels of Nursing division personnel and nursing students.
  • Participates in unit-based educational programs.
  • Demonstrates effective leadership skills.
  • Supports and collaborates in the Medical Center Performance Improvement plan.
  • Utilizes current research in clinical practice.
  • Complies with patient safety goals.
  • Participates in professional activities.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by the Patient Care Director.

Required Education And Experience

  • Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred).
  • Licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • 2 years of medical-surgical RN experience required.
  • Current licensure in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification required.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • 2-5 years of addiction medicine experience preferred.

Compensation Range

$39.80 - $93.69 per hour. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. Additional factors such as education, experience, and certifications are considered when determining base pay.
