Responsibilities
- Assign, educate, and monitor nursing staff to drive peak shift performance and care delivery.
- Exercise independent judgment to optimize shift workflows, services, and real-time patient care.
- Design acuity-based assignments, maintain unit productivity standards, and manage operational variances.
- Secure and manage essential materials, supplies, and resources to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
- Partner in building unit culture through staff training, performance coaching, and hiring input.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience.
