Registered Nurse - Clinical Education Specialist - NICU

About the role

The Clinical Education Specialist (CES) will provide education and support for patient care staff in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Saint Luke's Hospital, Saint Luke's East, and Saint Luke's North.

Responsibilities

• Affirms, implements, and evaluates education programs and core curriculum for patient care staff.
• Serves as a clinical and educational consultant expert and supports the ongoing professional development of clinical staff utilizing current evidence-based practice and research.
• Maintains system responsibilities for general and area specific orientation, continuing education certifications, and competency.
• Collaborates with other educators and leaders serving as a referral resource for staff, patients, and the community in their area of expertise for information and education.
• Maintains current with clinical knowledge and standards of care in their practice area to support quality outcomes.

Requirements

• Applicable Experience: 3-5 years Registered Nurse - Various
• Master's Degree

Qualifications

Must have experience within the NICU.

Skills

Expertise in clinical and educational consultation, evidence-based practice, and research.
