About the Role
Join the 19-bed Clinical Decision Unit (Observation) at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, a fast-paced environment offering RN autonomy and excellent provider partnerships. This role provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. You will utilize the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families. Effective communication of pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team is essential. You will also participate in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation of those solutions.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
- Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
Qualifications
Required Certifications/Licensures
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
