Registered Nurse - Clinical Decision Unit (Observation) - Full Time - Nights

About the Unit

Join the 19-bed Clinical Decision Unit (Observation) at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, a fast-paced environment offering RN autonomy and excellent provider partnerships. This role provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families.
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation of those solutions.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire.
• Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).
• Professional certifications to support a culture of nursing excellence (preferred).
