About the Role

This contractual position functions at the full performance level of a Registered Nurse, responsible for providing direct care to patients. The role includes clinical and administrative supervision of LPNs and non-licensed nursing staff, as well as responsibility for promoting and maintaining a therapeutic milieu. The position supports the organization’s mission by actively participating in clinical efforts to provide treatment in a recovery-oriented environment, emphasizing respect and a commitment to safety in the least restrictive manner possible.

Requirements

  • Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing (4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215) or a current multi-state license in party states where the candidate has declared primary residence.
  • Possession of a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland, if assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification, if required.
  • Availability for call-in duties; must provide a contact phone number.
  • Subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.

Benefits

  • Eligibility for subsidized health benefits coverage (medical and prescription) for contractual employees working 30+ hours per week (or an average of 130 hours per month). Employees pay 25% of the premiums, while the State of Maryland subsidizes the remaining 75%.
  • Option to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, with the employee responsible for the full premium.
  • Leave accrual at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
