Main Purpose of Job

This recruitment is for multiple positions and shifts located throughout the State of Maryland. A Registered Nurse CI (Court Involved) is the full performance level of nursing work providing care to mentally ill patients. Employees in this classification may supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and non-licensed nursing and support staff. Employees in this classification receive general supervision from a higher-level nurse. Employees are assigned to day, evening, night or rotating shifts which may include holidays and weekends. Employees are subject to call-in during emergencies and staffing shortages.

  • Spring Grove Hospital Center, Catonsville, MD (Baltimore County)
  • Thomas B. Finan Center, Cumberland, MD (Allegany County)
  • Potomac Center, Hagerstown, MD (Washington County)
  • Secure Evaluation and Therapeutic Treatment (SETT) Program, Hagerstown, MD (Washington County)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses.
  • Experience: None.
  • Licenses, Registrations and Certifications: Candidates must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a current multi-state license in party states that candidates have declared as primary states of residence.

  • Employees in this classification are subject to call-in and, therefore, will be required to provide the facility with a phone number at which they can be reached.
  • Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.
