Registered Nurse Childbirth Educator
About the role
Design impactful learning experiences by creating and evaluating educational programs that prepare expectant parents for childbirth and newborn care.
Partner with clinical leadership to assess nursing staff competencies and learning needs, ensuring the care team stays at the forefront of obstetric practices.
Develop engaging instructional tools and multimedia materials that translate complex clinical concepts into clear, comforting guidance for families.
Measure educational outcomes by utilizing evaluation tools to track the success of your programs and continuously improve the learning journey.
Maintain precise activity records and generate performance reports to ensure program compliance and demonstrate the value of community education.
Responsibilities
- Create and evaluate educational programs for expectant parents.

- Evaluate educational outcomes using appropriate tools.
- Maintain precise activity records and generate performance reports.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred.
- BLS Provider preferred.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Qualifications
Experience in healthcare education or related field is preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
